Financial Reporting Manager (IFRS 9 & Statutory Reporting)
Salary: £55,000-£60,000 per year plus bonuses (OTE + 17.5%/£64,625 - £70,500)
LOCATION:
Grimsby (Hybrid working pattern available)
HOURS:
37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday

The RoleThe successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified with experience within a Financial Services audit practice, potentially at Audit Manager or Senior Manager level, and looking to make their first move into industry.
This is a newly created role as part of our continued growth, offering the opportunity to shape and strengthen our financial reporting environment. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to take ownership of technical accounting, audit, and financial reporting in a growing financial services business.
The successful candidate would immediately take ownership of an ongoing IFRS 9 re-engineering project which is scheduled to last 18 to 36 months.
The candidate would also take on responsibilities for external auditor liaison.
Future progression is available with growth opportunities including Corporation Tax, Statutory Accounting, VAT returns and other areas of Financial Control.
This role sits as a senior position within the team, reporting to the Head of Finance and working very closely with the CFO.
The role would involve implementation of new processes and controls into the finance function which would involve an element of oversight and training.
The candidate will have direct exposure to:
- CFO
- Audit Committee
- External Auditors
- Major Finance transformation and strategic activities
In this role, success will initially be measured by the accuracy and timeliness of the IFRS 9 project.
Key Requirements- Financial Services experience
- Significant IFRS 9 exposure
- External audit experience
- Strong technical accounting background
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Motor Finance experience would be advantageous
- Experience of coordinating Finance and IT stakeholders
- Experience with judgement papers and governance controls
- Comfortable with data and analytical outputs
- Technically strong and detail-oriented
- Calm and structured under deadlines
- Confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders
