Position: Hygiene Manager (Permanent)
Hygiene Manager

Hours:

Monday to Sunday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Pay Rate: £23.07 per hour

Full-time

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Hygiene Manager to lead an on-site hygiene team. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality cleaning and hygiene services, maintain compliance, and support continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all hygiene services are carried out and maintained to the required standard
Manage hygiene staffing hours and ensure all expenditure is authorised and accurately recorded
Maintain detailed cleaning instructions, schedules and risk assessments in line with BRC food safety standards and customer Codes of Practice
Conduct compliance audits and inspections of hygiene standards and documentation
Oversee hygiene chemical usage, dosing equipment, and conduct chemical titration checks
Promote and maintain excellent Health and Safety standards across the site
Support microbiological investigations and projects to improve site hygiene performance
Deliver training and awareness sessions for hygiene and waste-handling staff
Attend regular catch-up meetings and monthly KPI meetings

Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Level 3 Food Safety Qualification (Level 4 desirable)
Previous experience in a senior hygiene management role within food or FMCG manufacturing
Strong understanding of HACCP principles
Health and Safety Level 3 Qualification
Proven leadership skills and experience managing diverse teams
Experience participating in BRC and customer audits
