Hygiene Shift manager; Nights

Job Title

Hygiene Shift Manager (Nights) – Permanent, Full Time, 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6pm-6am). Hourly rate: £18.81.

• Provide excellent service standards for routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer.
• Meet all SLA agreements and adhere to cleaning schedules.
• Carry out high risk and low risk hygiene tasks including washing equipment, walls, floor and overheads, belt cleaning, and use of scrubbing/sweeping equipment.
• Work as part of a team to maintain the highest visual and microbiological hygiene standards across all areas of the site.
• Liaise closely with the Hygiene supervisor; handle chemicals and ensure containers are labelled and locked at all times.
• Operate cleaning equipment and complete deep sanitation tasks.
• Disassemble equipment and machinery, handle and use chemicals following COSHH training.
• Provide technical training to cleaning staff on correct Health & Safety procedures, schedules and equipment usage.
• Distribute uniforms, monitor cleanliness standards, order necessary stocks and manage supplies.
• Handle issues efficiently and professionally, referring to the line manager when appropriate.

• Previous supervisory or management experience in cleaning, preferably in food manufacturing, is desirable.
• Good communication skills, reliable and hardworking, with a professional attitude.
• Ability to work to a schedule under the guidance of the contract manager.
• CosHH training required; IPAF desirable.
