Your Role
Are you a passionate leader with a knack for delivering exceptional customer service? We are seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Manager to lead our M&E function, ensuring compliance with our statutory requirements and upholding our vision and values. If you excel in operational, financial, and performance management, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the M&E operational delivery team, focusing on electrical repairs, testing, and installations.
- Ensure compliance across all M&E service areas, adhering to current legislation.
- Proactively manage your team, achieving operational and commercial targets while prioritising customer satisfaction.
- Act as the Principal Duty Holder for NICEIC and Gas Safe.
- Collaborate with colleagues and customer representatives to maintain the highest standards of service.
- Conduct team meetings to keep everyone informed of policy, procedure, and legislative updates.
- Ensure quality control of all works completed, preventing the need for remedial actions.
- Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring your team is trained and compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
What We're Looking For:
We need someone with strong leadership qualities and a customer-centric approach. If you have a significant technical understanding of construction and maintenance in the UK domestic housing sector, we want to hear from you! Here's what you'll need to succeed:
- Experience:
Proven background in leading M&E services or similar roles. - Skills:
Exceptional organisation, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities. - Communication:
Confident communicator at all levels within the organisation. - Adaptability:
Flexible and self-motivated, with a strong team spirit. - Technical Proficiency:
Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Teams, O365).
Qualifications
- Essential:
Gas and/or Electrical primary trade qualification (NVQ / C&G Level III) and relevant M&E qualification with sector compliance expertise. - Desirable:
Bachelor's Degree in construction or a related field and membership in a relevant professional institute (CIH, CIOB, RICS, etc.).
