Role OverviewAs a Quality Auditor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance from intake through to dispatch. Working closely with the QA Manager and Operations teams, you'll monitor production standards, support continuous improvement and help ensure customer expectations are consistently achieved.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to develop their career within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment while helping create a right-first-time culture across the site.
Key Duties- Lead quality and technical standards across the factory
- Ensure raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products meet specification requirements
- Carry out routine quality checks and report non-conformances promptly
- Conduct customer benchmarking panels and sensory assessments
- Complete shelf-life testing and product consistency reviews
- Input technical data into customer systems accurately
- Collect and prepare samples for laboratory testing
- Support customer audits and site visits
- Work closely with Production and NPD teams to maintain compliance standards
- Promote right-first-time behaviours across operational teams
- Qualified to Level 3 Food Hygiene or equivalent
- Experienced in quality auditing and internal auditing activities
- Knowledgeable in Root Cause Analysis techniques
- Familiar with HACCP principles and food safety systems
- Comfortable working within a chilled food manufacturing environment
- Competent using Microsoft Office applications
- A proactive individual who leads by example and promotes high standards
- Committed to quality, food safety and continuous improvement
- Experience working with fish products
- Experience with in a chilled food manufacturing environment
- Intermediate HACCP qualification
