AboutThe Role
We are looking for passionate youth workers to join our dynamic team, delivering structured sessions within our vibrant Youth Club. This is your chance to inspire, energise, and motivate young people aged 5–18, while helping shape a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment at YMCA Humber. With experience and qualifications in Youth and Child Development, you will facilitate engaging, centre‑based programmes for young people in the East Marsh of Grimsby, tailoring activities to meet their diverse needs and helping them develop vital life skills.
Key Responsibilities- Work alongside the Team Lead in outreach initiatives.
- Build meaningful connections with young people beyond the walls of the youth club.
- Take an active role in community engagement, mentoring, and creative programmes.
- Help young people discover their potential, overcome challenges, and gain confidence and skills.
- Help promote diversity and inclusion, encouraging friendships and teamwork.
- Take the lead in sports, fitness, creative art sessions and community projects.
- Provide peer mentoring and mediation, helping manage emotions and behaviours.
You will work alongside a collaborative and passionate team committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of young people and the wider community. This role provides the opportunity to use your skills, knowledge, and experience to support, inspire, and empower young people to reach their full potential. You will contribute to creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments where young people can develop confidence, build positive relationships, learn new skills, and achieve personal growth.
Hoursand Rate of Pay

Working Pattern:
- Sessional hours align to temporary employment undertaken for a fixed period. Hours are assigned during busy seasons or specific projects, where employees are hired to meet short‑term operational needs or increased demand.
Hourly Rate:
- £13.45 per hour (plus rolled up leave allowance 12.07%)
