Job DescriptionI am currently seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a well-established operation based in Stallingborough, working on behalf of a worldwide freight and logistics company. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for regular Class 2 work with an established operation handling a wide variety of freight and deliveries throughout the UK.
The RoleAs a Class 2 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and professional transportation of a variety of loads, delivering to customers and sites across the UK. The role will include a mixture of trunking and long-distance delivery work, with possibility of some tramping work providing drivers with a varied and rewarding workload.
Key Responsibilities- Drive modern Class 2 vehicles throughout the UK
- Complete trunking and long-distance delivery work
- Transport a wide variety of freight and loads
- Deliver to a range of customer locations and delivery sites
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured and transported safely
- Complete delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers and site personnel
- Follow company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Comply with all relevant UK driving legislation, Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time
Duration:
This is a long term, ongoing role.
Contract Type:
Temporary
Hourly Rate:
You will be paid £16.00 an hour PAYE or £19 an hour Umbrella and accrue up to 28 days paid holiday a year. Please note we do not offer sponsorship.
Working Hours:
This position is Monday to Friday, 6am start averaging 40-50 hours a week.

Experience & QualificationsFor this position, you must have:
- A valid Class 2 HGV licence
- A minimum of 1 year’s Class 2 HGV driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- A good understanding of UK road networks
- Experience with trunking, general haulage or UK-wide deliveries is desirable
- The ability to complete vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- The flexibility to undertake overnight stays when required
