Trade Counter Assistant / Warehouse & Customer Support Assistant

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (40.5 hours per week)
Salary: £525.29 per week

The Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our clients busy Grimsby branch. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines trade counter support, warehouse duties, local deliveries, stock administration, and customer service.

This position would suit someone with experience in a trade counter, warehouse, stores, customer service, or logistics environment who enjoys a role with plenty of variety and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Serving customers at the trade counter and providing excellent customer service
Picking and preparing customer orders accurately from the warehouse
Carrying out occasional local deliveries across the Grimsby and Scunthorpe areas
Responding to customer enquiries via email and telephone
Logging stock movements and updating inventory records on the company system
Creating purchase order numbers and processing basic administrative tasks
Receiving deliveries and putting stock away safely and accurately
Assisting with stock checks and maintaining warehouse organisation
Handling some heavier products and materials as part of daily warehouse activities
Supporting colleagues across the branch to ensure excellent customer service levels

What We're Looking For

Previous experience within a warehouse, trade counter, stores, customer service, or similar environment
A valid UK driving licence is essential
Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
Strong communication and customer service skills
A positive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed
Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
Ability to undertake manual handling and lift heavier stock items when required
