Social Worker/Therapist – Hickory Recovery at Grinnell

Department: Clinical

Direct Report To: Director of Clinical Services

Job Type: Bachelor or MSW level, Full-Time

• The Social Worker will provide individual and group trauma‑informed therapy to a select caseload of male and female patients suffering from a variety of substance abuse disorders
• Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the Social Worker/Therapist will be responsible for completing assessments, care plan management, patient education, and documentation.

• Bachelors OR Masters's Degree and Current Licensure (LCSW, LMSW, LPCC, LISW, LISWS)
• An ability to learn quickly, multi‑task, and utilize effective communication skills, including both telephone and in-person.
• Positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with patients and demonstrate sound clinical judgment and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to follow directives explicitly, adhere to facility policies, provide patient‑driven customer service, and exercise time management skills.
• Schedule flexibility, holiday, and weekend rotation are REQUIRED.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

• Bachelors OR Masters's Degree and Current Licensure (LMHC, IAADC, LMFT, LISW, IADC, CADC)
• 2 years prior experience in Behavioral Health setting preferred. Not required
• Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Impeccable ethics, integrity, and outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
• Completion of CPR and CPI within first 30 days of employment
• Computer proficiency , including Excel, Word, Publisher, and EMR required .
• An ability to learn quickly, multi‑task, and utilize effective communication skills, including both telephone and in-person.

Licensed: $70,000- $75,000

Temporary Licensed: $65,000- $70,000

Master's Level Social Worker: $55,000- $65,000
