Technology Specialist and Service Relationship Manager

Part of the Information Technology Services (ITS) Springboard Program at Grinnell College, this full‑time, term‑appointed (up to three years) position blends technical expertise with relationship management across campus departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical specialist within the assigned technology team.
  • Act as a liaison between ITS and academic/administrative departments, advocating on behalf of constituents in ITS decision‑making.
  • Assist with ticket resolution, triaging support tickets to the appropriate colleague(s) and keeping ticket submitters informed of progress.
  • Disseminate information about technology services and changes to constituents.
  • Participate in mentoring, professional development and cohort‑based activities of the Springboard Program.
Qualifications
  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree;
    Associate’s degree graduates must have completed information technology coursework.
  • Demonstrated interest in information technology and professional development.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • A willingness to learn across multiple technology domains and to pursue professional certifications.
Program Overview

The Springboard Program provides up to three years of employment in a cohort‑based environment. Participants earn a competitive salary (potentially increasing up to 20% annually) and gain experience in three technology fields, with the opportunity to achieve professional certifications and the Grinnell College IT Springboard Certificate after successful completion.
