The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The General Manager works with their leader to set the restaurant’s goals and creates a plan to achieve them. To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers who are responsible for specific areas of the restaurant.
The General Manager provides coaching, monitors progress, and helps improve department performance. The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a strong future team. Ideal candidates should have prior General Manager experience running high-volume locations. A background in quick‑service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. Candidates must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate‑owned and operated restaurants.
