Retail Merchandising Specialist
Hourly pay: $18.00 USD. Weekly pay schedule with early wage access.
We are seeking a part‑time Retail Merchandising Specialist to visit assigned retail stores, maintain and install consumer electronics displays, and support product launches. The role offers hands‑on work, independence, and an opportunity to work with leading consumer electronics brands.
What you’ll do- Travel to assigned retail stores to conduct visits within your assigned territory.
- Audit, maintain, and install consumer electronics displays and products such as TVs, tablets, headphones, speakers, printers, and phones.
- Occasionally partner with team members on 2–3 person projects such as appliance or TV installations.
- Build and maintain positive in‑store relationships with staff and customers.
- Complete assigned tasks and report results on time using your mobile device.
- Schedule and complete work in accordance with BDS standards and expectations.
- Coordinate material pickup from Fed Ex, BDS, or home as required.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred:
Previous merchandising, customer service, or retail experience.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Proficiency with a personal Android or Apple device (smartphone/tablet) with GPS for data upload and reporting.
- Own a basic toolkit; BDS will reimburse after successful probation (details listed above).
- Completion of required BDS online training courses before in‑store work.
- Minimum age 18, legal right to work in the United States, and valid driver’s license with proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to meet all pre‑employment requirements, including background and MVR checks.
- Flexible availability Monday – Friday, early morning to midday, with occasional weekend hours.
- Minimum 20 hours per week; part‑time schedule.
- Ability to drive up to a 60‑mile radius; BDS pays drive time and mileage between store locations.
- Regularly stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, grasp, push or pull, talk and/or hear, and drive.
- Regularly lift and carry 40+ pounds.
- Climb ladders over 10 feet tall.
- May require certification for moving equipment such as forklifts or Big Joe.
- Occasional travel by flight or other modes of transportation.
