Key Responsibilities Of
The Role
Leading and continually promoting “Right First Time, Every Time – Zero Defects” approach.
Implementing and promoting Mercury’s QMS, including Quality Cycle.
Supporting Project Manager in all Quality related matters.
Ensuring Project is functionally supported with appropriate resources.
Promoting process approach and compliance with all applicable documented requirements.
Implementing BIM
360 and BIM
360 Field including training delivery to Mercury’s staff, Subcontractors and Clients.
Raising nonconformances, snags and issues on ad-hoc basis (when and where required).
Analysing non-conformances, issues and snags and participating in the proposal, implementation, and evaluation of corrective actions.
Monitoring Subcontractors’ and Suppliers’ quality performance, collecting data and producing reports.
Participating in site inspections led by Mercury and/or Client.
Planning and carrying out work inspections (Hold, Witness and Monitoring Points) and preparing reports.
Reviewing and preparation of ITPs and ensuring that the QC components are identified and addressed in associated ITPs.
Monitoring and maintaining Registers (i.e. ITP, Benchmark, Calibration, etc.) and assisting Subcontractors in establishing and maintaining those.
Surveying ITP listed activities and preparing reports.
Ensuring project data is collated and prepared for Power BI Reports and subsequently used for trending and identifying areas for improvement.
Monitoring and randomly checking compliance with document control requirements including but not limited to material submissions, procedure, material inspections, checklists, ITPs, benchmarks, etc.
Demonstrating proactive approach and initiative in identifying potential issues and risks and proposing solutions to PM and other Mercury’s Leads and Managers.
Demonstrating full awareness of business needs and appropriate judgment while balancing benefits versus resources required for specific activities.
Ability to cascade down efficiently and effectively directives from the higher management.
Essential Criteria For
The Role
Qualifications in the field of Engineering (e.g. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.).
MS Office Suite, EDMS (Autodesk, Aconex, etc.), Enterprise Software packages (e.g. SAP).
High ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Previous experience with construction projects of a similar nature and size in a comparative role.
Track record of successfully leading and managing Quality Teams.
Thorough understanding of the Construction sequencing and dependability of various works.
High proficiency in using and interpreting International Technical Standards and Codes of Practice and an ability to rapidly acquire knowledge about those.
Excellent time management with particular focus on task completion.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise own workload, to delegate tasks and to elevate issues when required.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing including report and correspondence writing.
Ability to manage subcontractors and clients (internal and external) by forging and maintaining collaborative relationships.
