Technical Support Engineer EMS

Regilo Solutions develops Regilo EMS: software that coordinates supported energy devices. Re.Base provides the local connection, Re.Connect helps installers prepare and commission systems, and Victron VRM provides insight into the installation.

Depending on the equipment, configuration and agreed functions, this helps customers use their own energy, reduce demand peaks and operate within grid connection limits. We combine software development with practical experience from installations, including those built by our colleagues at Regilo Systems.

You support the preparation, commissioning and use of energy systems. You work methodically, keep people informed and record findings and solutions.

• Help with questions about supported equipment, connections, networks and configuration.
• Support installers remotely with communication issues, unexpected readings and settings.
• Analyse alerts, dashboards, logs and historical data to identify the cause of a problem.
• Make appropriate configuration changes or simple software adjustments and check the result.
• Hand more complex issues to software engineers or technical specialists with a complete analysis.
• Collect technical information for new drivers and integrations and help test them.
• Improve manuals, checklists, the knowledge base and workflows to make recurring questions easier to resolve.

You will encounter Python, Linux, Docker, MQTT, Modbus RTU and TCP, Sun Spec, REST APIs, D-Bus, Victron Venus OS and VRM, Grafana, InfluxDB and Git Hub Actions. Networks, routers, VPN connections and remote access are also part of the work.

We use AI for practical tasks, including organising support requests, analysing logs, documentation, scripts and automation. You do not need to be an AI specialist. We want someone willing to explore its uses and assess the results technically.

You stay calm when a system does not behave as expected. You listen, ask focused questions and take responsibility for following up, including when a colleague needs to provide the final solution.

• You have experience in technical support, software, EMS, industrial automation, IoT or a similar technical environment.
• You can investigate faults independently and explain technical information clearly.
• You can read code, scripts and configurations and make simple changes, preferably in Python.
• You can work with Linux, logging and remote diagnostics and understand networking basics.
• You work carefully, document your findings and recognise opportunities to improve processes.
• You are interested in energy technology, automation and AI and have a good command of Dutch and English.

Experience with Victron, ESS, battery storage, charging infrastructure, electrical diagrams or commissioning installations is welcome. The same applies to device protocols, monitoring tools and AI workflows.
