• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders according to company policy.
• Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with advertisements and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, assist customers with product questions.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines.
• Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict cooperatively and act with honesty and integrity.
• Support and assist diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
