Lead Mammography Technologist - Liggett Breast Center

GENERAL

SUMMARY:

Full Time Benefit Eligible

Shift: FT 40 hours per week 6:30am-7:00pm, no weekends

Leads the daily operations of assigned department's imaging services.

• Ensures quality imaging, patient care and workflow.
• Monitors patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
• Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Serves as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.
• Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provides input to staff performance evaluations.
• Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
• One or more of the following required:
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire date or job transfer date.

• Must have 3-5 years of Mammography experience. This position will oversee daily operations of three breast imaging locations with high volumes and multiple modalities (screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast biopsies, breast ultrasound, bone density and ABUS). Job duties will include but not limited to supply ordering, creating and maintaining technologists' schedules, coordinating maintenance on equipment, performing QC and maintain records for annual inspections.
