Floor Maintenance Attendant
Join Corewell Health as a Floor Maintenance Attendant to support our patients and staff by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas, removing medical waste, trash, and linens, and maintaining the appearance of floors, carpets, and upholstery.
Essential Functions- Clean, disinfect, and restock patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas following established procedures.
- Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams.
- Perform interim and restorative maintenance of hard floors, carpets, and upholstery.
- Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies according to department standards.
- Communicate with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
- Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital.
- Work in multiple areas of responsibility and across department sites as needed.
- Participate in safety initiatives and complete unit safety competencies on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in public service, customer service, hospitality, hospital environmental services, or janitorial work.
