Dietary Cook - Grosse Pointe Woods

Base pay: $18.00/hr – $18.00/hr

• Follow recipes and prepare foods that correspond to menu cycles prepared by the dietary manager and dietitian, including therapeutic and modified consistency diets.
• Cook or prepare delicious, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in institutional quantities.
• Ensure meals are appealing, appetizing and nutritionally sound.
• Work on tray line or in dining rooms serving meals to residents.
• Prepare foods for the following day’s menu.
• Maintain sanitation standards as defined by facility policy and procedure in the prep areas of the kitchen as well as the dish room.
• Communicate with the Dietary Manager throughout shift as needed to best meet needs of residents.
• Attend required staff in‑services.

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction.
• Prior facility or commercial cooking experience required.
