The RN utilizes the ANA scope of practice and the nursing process to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient‑family centered care principles. The RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and discharges patients under the direction of the Nurse Leader, following Corewell Health policies and procedures. The RN partners with patients and families to plan care, develops teaching strategies, and documents education in the health record.

• Associate’s in Nursing required
• Bachelor’s in Nursing required within 5 years
• Graduates from a non‑accredited nursing school must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years of experience in a licensed health‑care role and must have passed the NCLEX licensure exam
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart & Stroke
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Circulating experience preferred
