Systems Administrator; IRIX

Overview

The Electric Boat Information Technology End User Services Team has opening for a Management Systems Coordinator performing IRIX administration to support our design and engineering user community.

The Responsibilities of this role in EBIT D604 End User Services include and are not limited to:

• EB EVS design support through use of CATIA and SGI (IRIX) workstations
• Account administration for multiple different EB business systems Team Center/NX, JCALS, and CATIA
• Providing IT support for EB end users and coordination of IT service delivery as necessary
• Interfacing effectively with EB users and management, and contracted IT service providers at all levels.
• Contributing to diverse IT teams to manage assigned tasks within defined budget and schedule
• Support of IT compliance and IT security requirements and processes
• IT Oversight and Support of accounting for Electronic Visualization Software (EVS) Room Usage

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in IT direct user support (Service Desk L1-L3, Desktop Support Technician) or through Application or System Administration (System Admins, Endpoint IT Support)
• Experience with IRIX is required

• Two year Technical School/College
• Experience with UNIX/AIX
• Experience in IT Service delivery and ITIL framework a plus
• Experience with EB’s business systems Team Center/NX, JCALS, CATIA and EVS (SGI)

• The ability to work independently and as a member of functional work teams
• Knowledge of Microsoft products
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions
