Experienced IT Systems Engineer​/Solutions Architect

Overview

We are seeking a multi-disciplined Experienced IT Systems Engineer / Solutions Architect with broad experience across infrastructure, applications, and enterprise systems. This role requires strong technical breadth across Linux, Windows, and mainframe platforms, with proven experience in solution design, enterprise application integration, and cross-platform engineering.

• Design, implement, and support enterprise IT solutions spanning multiple platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, security, development, operations) to deliver scalable solutions.
• Support cloud migrations, hybrid infrastructure, and Dev Ops adoption.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues involving multiple systems and platforms.
• Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code for repeatable deployments.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, governance, and security policies.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering.
• 10 years of experience in system architect role.
• 5 years experience Linux system administration.

• Architecture certifications (TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect).
• Experience working in defense industry.
• Military experience.

• Multi-platform expertise:
  Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE), Windows Server, and mainframe environments.
• Application & middleware stack:
  Web Logic, JBoss, Apache Tomcat, IIS, Web Sphere, Java-based applications.
• Cloud & Dev Ops: AWS, Azure, GCP; CI/CD pipelines;
  Docker/Kubernetes;
  Terraform/Ansible.
• Networking & security: TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers, TLS/SSL, PKI.
• Scripting & automation:
  Power Shell, Python, Bash, Perl.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices.
• Experience leading cross-discipline engineering and architecture teams.
