Job Position: Hadoop MapR Sr. Developer/ Technical Architect

Job Location: Groton, Connecticut

Job Description:

Role: Hadoop MapR Sr. Developer/ Technical Architect

Work Location: Groton, Connecticut

Mandatory Technical

Skills:

• Hands-on experience with distributed application architecture and implementation using MapR or other Hadoop distributions
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop Ecosystem, particularly Spark, Drill, Impala, Python, R
• Exposure to Teradata or other Data Warehousing solutions
• Hands-on experience using Linux and scripting
• Performance tuning
• Architectural understanding to design and develop PoC based on use cases
• Ability to work with offshore teams as needed
• Handling different file formats in Hadoop Ecosystem
• Preferably a data management background and experience

Desirable Technical

Skills:

• Exposure to analytics and data science tools
• Experience with Ansible scripting, Storm, Zeppelin, Impala

Mandatory Functional

Skills:

• Exposure to life sciences and pharma domain
• Experience working in the pharma domain using any Hadoop distribution
