This role requires a mix of technical and programmatic rigor to solve complex problems and drive their solutions to implementation, with an endless improvement mindset. You’ll lead a team of approximately five employees to partner with key stakeholders within the business functional areas, Information Technology (IT), Program Office, and the Navy to define, prioritize, and drive resolution of the challenges facing Design Disclosure.

  • Define clear ownership of tools and processes within the business
  • Identify gaps, redundancies, manual handoffs, and improvement opportunities in current-state processes and systems
  • Drive the resolution and implementation of tool, process, and procedural improvements
  • Troubleshoot and test production issues and improvement opportunities

  • Track, manage, and prioritize the work being execution by the Value Stream (e.g. actions, ITCRs, PMOs, commitments, tasks, etc.)
  • Track and manage cost and schedule performance
  • Manage external customer touchpoints and perception
  • Develop and track business metrics relative to the Value Stream
  • Develop and maintain a digital roadmap aligned to business and operational goals
  • Train and mentor personnel

The candidate will be customer-focused and must have strong leadership skills, writing/presentation skills, and organizational skills. The position must be able to clearly communicate with all levels of the organization within Electric Boat and our external partners and customers, including Newport News Shipbuilding and the Navy. The candidate must be able to think strategically while acting tactically to execute multiple projects concurrently.
