Senior Manufacturing Accountant

Salary: $80,000–$95,000

We're partnering with a manufacturing company in the Columbus area seeking a Senior Manufacturing Accountant to play a key role in supporting plant financial operations. This position is ideal for an experienced accountant who understands the connection between the numbers and what’s happening on the manufacturing floor.

In this role, you'll take ownership of critical cost and inventory accounting activities, analyze manufacturing performance, and work closely with operations and leadership to identify trends, strengthen cost controls, and provide insight that supports better business decisions.

• Manage full-cycle standard costing for manufacturing operations, including setup, maintenance, and ongoing analysis
• Evaluate material, labor, and overhead variances on a weekly basis, identifying trends and opportunities to improve cost controls
• Oversee inventory accounting activities, including reconciliations, purchase price variance (PPV) tracking, and related journal entries
• Work closely with operations and management to turn cost, inventory, and variance data into meaningful business insights
• Support month-end close activities related to inventory, manufacturing costs, and plant operations
• Help drive process improvements that enhance the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of cost accounting processes
• Maintain accurate and compliant cost and inventory reporting within a manufacturing ERP environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Proven track record managing cost accounting processes and inventory accounting
