Job Summary:
The customer service representative is responsible for obtaining new business for the company from incoming calls while maintaining an existing customer base. The qualified candidate will be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and good time management skills. They must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and be somewhat “tech savvy”. They need the ability to have a flexible schedule as some events could require them to be available outside of normal office hours.
This position will report directly to the General Manager.
- Customer Service:
Communicate with current customers to make sure we meet their expectations and service needs. - Providing quotes to customers that contact us for service; use information gained from customers to help identify areas where we could improve our service and sharing this information with the Operations staff
- Documentation and Reporting:
Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports that are necessary to provide the data to help determine sales achievements as well as container utilization. - Compile data from reports and provide this information to the management team so that they can develop policies and pricing to help maintain profitability
- Inventory Management:
Work with the dispatch office to determine the availability of containers that can be sold to potential customers. - Communicate with dispatch to see which customers are not utilizing containers on site and work with those customers to get those containers moving
- Other Duties:
Work with the accounting department to help collect unpaid invoice balances - Create social media posts to be placed on various company social media platforms
- Forward leads captured via incoming calls and website requests to the outside sales representative for followup communications
