The Buckeye Ranch is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Sr. Mental Health Technician to join our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). The Sr. Mental Health Technician will provide one‑on‑one and group supervision, intervention, and behavioral leadership of clients to establish and maintain a trauma‑informed positive treatment environment and desired treatment outcomes.
About The Buckeye RanchThe Residential Campus was founded in 1961 and has expanded to nine residential houses with 93 beds and 200 employees. We proudly serve over 5,000 children and families annually, with a strong foundation in family centered, trauma-informed care.
ScheduleFull‑time | Non‑Exempt | 2:30pm-10:30pm | Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday
Shift Differential- PRTF: $2.00/hr
- 2nd Shift (3p - 11p): $1.50/hr
- Weekends (Fri, 3pm - Mon, 6:59am): $0.50/hr
- Assists clients in developing age‑appropriate activities, behaviors, and interpersonal skills; sets and obtains conformance to clear behavioral limits appropriate for the client's background and development.
- Understanding special issues regarding age and developmental disabilities.
- Helps with establishment of daily goals and follows up to assure attendance and participation in scheduled activities.
- Works with the program coordinator and clinician to develop program schedules.
- Identifies indicators of age‑appropriate development in all domains for children of varying ages.
- Supervises individual and group activities and behaviors to establish and maintain a positive treatment environment.
- Understanding special issues regarding gender identity/crisis, substance use, mental health conditions, and other needs typically presented by the service population.
- Implements and supports the trauma‑informed culture for all the clients within T 's care, including positive interactions with families, taking a strengths‑based approach, and appropriate communication with all involved systems.

- You have a high school diploma.
- You have at least one year of behavioral health/treatment experience.
- You have an active driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
- You are 21 years or older.
