The Machine Operator I is the entry‑level manufacturing position. The Machine Operator I is responsible for manufacturing products safely and efficiently to support the achievement of company objectives.
Position Profile- Non‑Exempt
- Full‑Time
The Machine Operator I reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Follow all process documents, such as work instructions, procedures, inspection criteria. Report results in the appropriate Quality Management System (QMS) and communicate non‑conformances to leadership.
- Manufacture products in alignment with defined output standards as measured by daily operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate flexibility of schedule when pursuing training opportunities to achieve personal and company objectives.
- Understand and adhere to all safety requirements. Communicate identified risks to leadership and assist in resolution.
- Complete all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Contribute to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct. Maintain a positive attitude, display enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicate effectively and professionally with team members.
- Other related duties.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Trade or technical school experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand process documents.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds on a regular and routine basis.
- Frequent bending and twisting required.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process.
