Maintenance Technician – BRG Apartments

We are looking for a tech with experience in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry who can work in a positive team environment and is willing to go the extra mile for our residents.
Base Pay Range$28.00/hr – $32.00/hr
Job DescriptionAssist the Community Manager or Supervisor in completing tasks that ensure the community meets appearance, operational, and safety standards set by BRG Apartments and applicable laws. Respond promptly to resident service requests, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective action.
Responsibilities- Repair, replace, or install plumbing fixtures such as faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water‑dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines.
- Repair, replace, or install electrical components including power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, climate control systems, and garage door openers.
- Perform drywall repair for holes caused by nails or minor damage and larger holes from tenant damage.
- Complete minor paint touch‑ups after damage repair and new paint applications between residents.
- Repair or replace household appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, range ovens, washers, dryers, hot water tanks, and air conditioners.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on heating and air‑conditioning systems, plumbing fixtures, sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers.
- Perform seasonal maintenance for swimming pool opening procedures, daily maintenance, and end‑of‑season close‑down procedures.
- Maintain health and safety systems such as sprinkler systems and smoke detectors.
- Install locks and perform HVAC maintenance and repairs.
- Participate in the on‑call rotation as required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of prior maintenance experience.
- EPA Certification required.
- Driver's license and auto insurance (required).
- Ability to work an 8‑hour day shift (Monday to Friday) and participate in on‑call duties.
