• Operating heavy equipment: maneuvering and operating various heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, compactors, and graders to spread, level, and compact waste within the landfill.
• Waste management: pushing, distributing, and compacting incoming waste to maximize landfill capacity.
• Covering waste: using dirt and soil to properly cover compacted waste at the end of each day, adhering to environmental regulations.
• Site maintenance: maintaining access roads within the landfill, grading and shaping landfill slopes to ensure stability.
• Safety compliance: following all safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment, performing pre‑shift equipment inspections, and reporting any safety concerns.
• Environmental monitoring: observing and reporting any potential environmental hazards like leachate leaks or gas emissions.
• Heavy equipment operation: proven experience operating heavy machinery like dozers, excavators, and compactors.
• Physical fitness: ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Attention to detail: maintaining accurate records and observing operational details to ensure proper landfill management.
• Safety awareness: commitment to following safety regulations and procedures.

• Primarily outdoors, exposed to varying weather conditions.
• Loud noise from heavy machinery operation.
• Potential exposure to dust and odors associated with landfill operations.
