Gymnastics Instructor – Grove City YMCA (Agriculture)

The YMCA is seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Youth Gymnastics Instructor to join our team. This role is focused on inspiring a love of gymnastics in children by providing effective instruction, promoting confidence and teamwork, and ensuring a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.

• Plan and conduct gymnastics classes for youth aged 4-12, demonstrating fundamental gymnastics skills and techniques.
• Oversee practices and encourage participant growth and development.
• Think, communicate, and behave as a cause‑driven leader and role model for other staff and members.
• Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational classes/practices/games, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
• Answer questions from participants/parents to support them in achieving their goals related to youth development.
• Maintain working knowledge of sport/activity and trends to provide effective information and support to participants.
• Build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; help them connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Encourage parent involvement and identify potential volunteers.
• Convey information on sports/activity programs and schedules, and as appropriate, refer participants and parents to other programs.
• Keep accurate class records (attendance & progress reports).
• Follow YMCA policies and procedures, and respond to emergency situations.
• Prepare and maintain field/gym area before and after program; organize and put away class equipment; report damaged equipment.
• Officiate sport/activity matches and games as scheduled.
• Assist in supervision of volunteers involved in sport or activity.
• Model and teach the core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
