Senior Station Manager – Amazon
We are looking for an experienced leader to manage a full Amazon Logistics Delivery Station (DS). The Senior Station Manager oversees all budgetary, people development and operations objectives and leads a team of Operations, Area and Shift Managers.
DescriptionPrimary responsibilities include building the leadership bench, coaching teams, ensuring performance targets, driving safety, quality and customer experience, managing relationships with DSPs, and presenting metrics to senior leadership.
Key Job Responsibilities- Overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for all station operations.
- Drive vision and create quality, process and lean initiatives to meet the business plan.
- Problem‑solve gaps between performance and goals.
- Set and clarify expectations for Senior Ops, Ops, Area and Shift Managers; measure performance and hold accountable.
- Manage a high‑volume, 24/7 order delivery environment.
- Maintain day‑to‑day relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
- Present operational metrics regularly to senior leadership.
- Hire and develop top talent; create talent plans covering acquisition, performance, career growth, learning and succession.
- Leverage Senior Ops, Ops, Area and Shift Managers to source and implement improvement plans.
- Foster culture and engagement across all station levels.
- Share best practices across departments, shifts and the network.
- Collaborate with key partners (Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES, Engineering) to secure resources for projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, last‑mile, manufacturing, engineering, production or distribution.
- Proven track record of delivering performance and financial results in high‑pressure environments.
- Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques.
- Full lifecycle staffing experience: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
- Strong analytical capability with data‑driven problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both in English and the local language.
- Experience managing third‑party resources on a regional/national scale.
- Experience managing contingent workforce during peak seasons.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
- Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience in a startup environment.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and make sound judgment under stress.
- Interest in long‑term career development.
Base pay ranges from $121,500 to $200,900 per year depending on geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary with experience, skills and knowledge.
