Physician – Hospital Medicine – New Hospital Columbia County Hospital

Wellstar MCG Health is looking for a hospitalist to join the inaugural team of the Wellstar Columbia County Hospital. The new acute‑care hospital will open in the fall of 2026 and will feature 100 inpatient beds, a Level II trauma center, and a surgical platform that includes operating rooms, catheterization laboratories, and interventional radiology and endoscopy.

Physician provide clinical services to patients consistent with their training and expertise. The care of patients is the highest priority in the Well Star Health System.

• Clinical practice of medicine in inpatient settings.
• Documentation of clinical care and tasks necessary for billing and other administrative functions.
• Continuing medical education required to maintain licensure and board certification.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• MD or DO degree.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.

• Board certification in the respective specialty (all certifications required upon hire).

• Completed residency training program.

• Previous practice experience in a residency training program.
• Skills commensurate with the given specialty.
• Proof of competency for clinical skills applied for.
