The position is for a full-time sleep-trained Pulmonary and Critical Care physician at Wellstar Columbia County Hospital, working both inpatient critical care and outpatient pulmonary clinic. The role involves a rotating 4-week schedule with ICU, inpatient, and clinic duties, with preference for candidates with Sleep Fellowship training. The hospital is expanding to a full-service acute care facility featuring emergency, surgical, and specialty care services.

Work Shift

Wellstar Medical Group has a full-time opening for a sleep trained Pulmonary and Critical Care physician to work at Columbia County Hospital for critical care and pulmonary inpatient work. They will also work in the outpatient pulmonary clinic. In a 4-week block, the physician will work 1 week (7 days) ICU, 1 week (7 days) off, 2 weeks of pulmonary (inpatient and clinic).

Sleep Fellowship highly preferred.

When Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center and the adjacent medical office building open in 2026, the full-service acute care hospital will feature 100 inpatient beds; an emergency department expected to become a Level II trauma center; a surgical platform that will include operating rooms, catheterization laboratories, and interventional radiology and endoscopy; and a 90,000-square-foot medical office building that will offer primary care, women’s health care and other specialties.
