Job Overview

$13.00 – $18+ per hour base pay plus up to 12% commission and monthly bonus. Assistant salon managers can earn an average of $13.00 – $17.00+ per hour, with top‑performing managers earning even more.

• Recruit, select, orient, and retain salon staff.
• Train, motivate, mentor, and provide feedback to sales staff to achieve sales and performance goals.
• Schedule and assign employees; follow up on work results and operational requirements.
• Monitor controllable expenses (labor, cost of sales, other expenses) to achieve financial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and maintain salon stability and reputation.
• Manage salon cleanliness, stocking, and overall readiness.
• Build rapport with customers to foster loyalty and long‑term relationships.
• Create a positive, motivating, team‑based environment.
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Analyze daily sales and expense information; perform financial analysis to maximize sales and net profits.
• Safeguard and account for all money received and fulfill banking requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in a retail or customer‑service environment.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to positively influence others.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, walk for 7+ hours per day and lift 25 pounds without assistance.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
