Summary:
The RN Resident is a new graduate registered nurse participating in a comprehensive 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support a smooth transition into professional practice.
Key Responsibilities:Provide individualized, high-quality patient care following current standards and evidence-based practices; collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams; coordinate care through clear communication and documentation; participate in performance improvement initiatives; serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a qualified workforce; promote research and evidence-based practice; develop protocols for best practice outcomes; and ensure compliance with organisational policies and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:Must hold a nursing degree (Diploma or Bachelors), be licensed as an RN (single or multi-state license), and possess BLS certification. Less than one year of RN experience is required. Candidates should have strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and computer skills, with familiarity in electronic health records and data entry. Experience with Epic and 3M systems is preferred.
Additional Requirements:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to emergencies, and collaborate effectively with diverse healthcare teams. All certifications are required upon hire.
