A Wingstop cook is responsible for preparing quality food that tastes great and is consistent from day to day. This position is critical to Wingstop Restaurants; ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation, maintaining the highest quality products and services delivered to each customer. The cook must follow proper personal hygiene and sanitation procedures and focus on their job in a calm, efficient manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that each guest has a positive, lasting impression of the Wingstop experience.
  • Practice safe cooking procedures.
  • Quickly scan and comprehend order tickets.
  • Accurately count the number of Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings, and Boneless Strips needed for each order.
  • Coordinate cooking times of Wings, Strips, and fries with the timers.
  • Follow Wingstop standards to sauce, season, and package all orders.
  • Count cooked Wings, Strips into the proper sauce bowls.
  • Cook and prepare Wings, Strips, and Fries in the proper fryers and baskets.
  • Filter and freshen fryer shortening daily, following safety procedures and using proper safety equipment.
  • Keep the kitchen clean throughout the shift, maintaining cleanliness at all times.
  • Notify the Manager on Duty immediately of safety, sanitation, or employee issues.
  • Assist other employees as needed.
  • Follow directions given by Manager or Supervisor.
  • Understand the importance of good hygiene and food handling practices.
  • Follow instructions for the proper and safe use of chemical cleaning products.
