Job DescriptionAuto Body Technician’s primary responsibility is providing an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle to restore it to pre‑accident condition. The technician works in alignment with all team members to achieve repair facilities KPIs and is committed to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
- Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates, and use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
- Repair dents, dimples, and minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins when needed.
- Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; replace or repair glass and windshields as required.
- Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
- Weld, attach, or fit parts; prep and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified paint or equivalent.
- Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
- Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure work is executed correctly.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
Skills and Abilities
- Read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
- Work collaboratively with other repairers.
- Understand methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
- Understand how to use required tools.
- Work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
- Lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
- Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

Compensation$22 – $28 / Hour Flat Rate
Flat Rate Compensation is a performance‑based structure tied to booked hours. If total compensation is less than minimum wage, the lower of clocked hours or applicable local/state minimum wage applies.
Supplemental Pay:
This position may also be eligible for bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
