The Opportunity

We are looking for an Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for growth in their bookkeeping career with the ability and interest in working directly with our clients and other bookkeeping team members.

About The Gig
  • As a key member of the team, you will work under the direction of a Senior Bookkeeper to prepare client’s monthly accounting (bookkeeping, financial reports, government remittances, etc), and year-end financial statements and reporting.
  • Work with a variety of clients using multiple bookkeeping software platforms
  • Work with our Senior Bookkeepers to prepare a client s year-end financial statements and reporting
  • Meet with clients to discuss their bookkeeping concerns and questions
  • Mentor and develop junior bookkeepers on the team
  • 18 Month Contract position which can be structured as fully remote or hybrid, working out of one of our offices.
  • Pay range: $45,000 - $55,000
  • Paid overtime will be required on evenings and some weekends during busy season
About You
  • You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in full cycle book-keeping including posting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll and has experience preparing and analyzing financial statements
  • You are tech savvy with experience using most standard bookkeeping programs including Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Sage 50, Xero, Hubdoc and other cloud accounting tools (Certifications are an asset)
  • You are comfortable multi-tasking and juggling up to 20-30 clients at a time
  • You focus on building meaningful relationships with both clients and RLB team members
  • You carry a high standard of integrity with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • You are comfortable communicating with both new and experienced business owners
  • You are motivated by making an impact in your workplace and thrive in a learning environment
