Legal Assistant, Corporate – Guelph, Ontario

Compensation

Starting at $50,000.00 annually plus bonus

Overview

Looking for a chance to make your mark in a quick‑paced, professional and fun environment. The Legal Assistant, Corporate will support the Corporate Legal Department by offering administrative support to assist with corporate transactions, maintenance, and other corporate functions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Lawyers/Clerks with Corporate transactions from start to finish.
  • Support transaction management, including database maintenance, file organization, due diligence, and closings.
  • Act as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties: filing, scanning, data entry, correspondence, scheduling, and related tasks.
  • Coordinate departmental logistics, maintain legal databases and accounts, and facilitate communication across teams and external partners.
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and support lawyers with administrative tasks and professional registrations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Post‑Secondary Education in an Office Administration (Legal) program and three years related experience as a Legal Assistant or a relevant combination of education/experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong database management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization; ability to manage deadlines and tasks efficiently.
  • Strong reading and interpreting document skills and ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Excellent communication skills (emails, phone calls, etc.), professional and timely.
  • Sense of confidentiality and integrity.
