Position: Clinical Administrative Lead (Full-Time Permanent)

Guelph Family Health Team is looking for a Clinical Administrative Lead (Full-Time Permanent)

Hourly Rate: $32.15 – $33.44

Reports to:

Manager, Chronic Disease & Manager, Mental Health/Psychiatry

The Guelph Family Health Team is a not-for-profit, interdisciplinary primary care organization providing comprehensive, team-based care to the community of Guelph and surrounding areas. Our team works collaboratively to improve patient access, health outcomes, and system sustainability through innovative and integrated primary care services.

Position Summary :

The Clinical Administrative Lead supports the delivery of high-quality administrative services across Guelph FHT programs and clinics. This role provides day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to the administrative team while helping to ensure efficient operations, excellent patient service, and consistent administrative practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Provide guidance and support to Administrative Assistants across programs and locations.
  • Coordinate onboarding, training, and cross-training of administrative staff.
  • Support administrative workflows, scheduling coverage, and service consistency.
  • Act as a resource for administrative staff and assist with operational problem-solving.
  • Promote a high standard of patient service and administrative excellence.
  • Support the use and continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes.
  • Assist with quality improvement initiatives and operational projects.
  • Support meetings, education sessions, reporting activities, and program operations.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to support organizational priorities.
  • Ability to work at multiple locations.
Qualifications :
  • Medical Office Administration diploma or certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a healthcare or medical office environment.
  • Experience providing guidance, mentorship, or informal leadership to team members.
  • Experience with electronic medical records; PS Suite considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to excellent patient and customer service.
