Automotive Mechanic

Automotive Mechanics provide high‑quality vehicle diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs, working independently or within a team environment.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑5:00 pm.

• Perform vehicle maintenance such as oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush and inspections for mechanical deficiencies.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑sales mechanical and structural inspections, including road tests.
• Diagnose and repair transmission and engine problems onsite and in the field with inspectors.
• Based on certification levels, perform repairs and maintenance including: mount and balance tires; replace bulbs/fuses; replace drive belts; brake repairs on disc or drum brakes; coolant system repairs; A/C leak test, evacuate and recharge; OBD II diagnostics; brake components; tire tune‑ups; suspension components; electrical systems; state safety inspections; interior/exterior components; engine and driveline components; advanced diagnostics; engine/driveline repair; parts replacement and fabrication.
• Maintain the assigned work area and keep the shop clean and tidy.
• Perform all work safely and conscientiously.
• Multi‑task and use company equipment to answer field inspector questions.
• Handle and dispose of all fluids per MSDS and regulations.
• Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts and repairs to assure prompt repairs.
• Perform road test drives.
• Handle other duties as assigned by your supervisor, including minor travel as needed.

• 5+ years of relevant experience or education in automotive technology.
• Ontario Certificate of Qualification as an Automotive Service Technician (310S) with Red Seal endorsement preferred.
• Experience with hybrid, electric vehicle (EV) and advanced propulsion systems, including high‑voltage safety, battery diagnostics, electric motors, and regenerative braking.
• Experience calibrating, aligning, and repairing ADAS sensors.
• Ability to interpret complex service manuals, schematics, and manufacturer updates.
• Knowledge of safe work practices, hazardous material handling and refrigerant certification if performing A/C work.
• Structural component and damage knowledge.
• Proficiency with hand tools and equipment.
• Strong listening, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, independent, reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, climb, lift 11–25 lb and occasionally over 50 lb.
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

At E INC, the base pay range for this full‑time position is $36.00 – $42.00 per hour, and the role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
