Take on a vital role as the Senior Risk and Insurance Advisor at the Upper Grand District School Board in Guelph. This full-time, permanent position is dedicated to risk evaluation and insurance management.
As a member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for assessing and negotiating risk clauses within contracts. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed risk assessments and create dashboards
• Serve as a liaison with legal counsel on disputes
• Manage the insurance portfolio and coordinate claims
• Establish governance guidelines for risk-related initiatives
• Lead workshops for staff to enhance compliance
Requirements:
• Relevant degree with 5-7 years of experience
• Professional insurance designations such as CRM
• Proven knowledge of risk management legislation
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft and analytics tools
