Project Specialist

Position: Project Specialist at City
Take on an impactful role as a Project Specialist with the City of Guelph, working in a hybrid format. Support project managers in major construction while leading renovations at city facilities.

This temporary, full-time position focuses on Facility Design and Construction within the Facilities and Energy Management department. Ideal candidates will have a background in Architecture or Engineering and experience with construction project management, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budgets, and timelines. You'll be a key player in achieving the city’s vision for an inclusive and prosperous community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Project Managers in the project lifecycle coordination

• Monitor project progress and updates to align with objectives

• Track deliverables from consultants and contractors

• Coordinate work with architects and contractors

• Maintain organized project records and documentation

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Architecture or Engineering

• Experience in project management within the ICI sector

• Valid ‘G’ driver's license and good driving record

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Familiarity with building codes and contract administration
