This role offers opportunities for full-time, part-time, or locum engagement in a thriving emergency department environment.
In this fast-paced ED, you will encounter approximately 60–80 visits daily and have the chance to provide critical emergency care. Groves Memorial is committed to quality patient work, supported by specialists and advanced facilities like CT and Ultrasound. Teaching and mentorship are integral parts of this role, especially as Groves partners with McMaster University.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert emergency medical care to patients
• Involve yourself in teaching at McMaster University
• Participate in mentorship programs for professional growth
• Assist with patient management in emergency situations
• Explore on-call arrangements with funding opportunities
Requirements:
• Certification in ACLS and ATLS is necessary
• NRP/PALS certification is a plus
• Comfort and experience in rural emergency settings required
• Valid CPSO and OHIP billing numbers are essential
• Restrictions on previous experience in Ontario hospitals apply
