Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Guelph Woodlawn & Hanlon is currently seeking a part-time teacher for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas. Teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned.

Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

This role is in‑person and requires commuting to the location. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. Must be able to manage up to three students at a time.

• All teachers work a combination of evening hours (3:30pm - 8:00pm) and Saturdays (10:00am - 2:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through the summer is even better.
• Must be able to commute to the Guelph location. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Third- or fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of current Grades 9‑12 math, particularly senior math including Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, Calculus/vectors.

• In‑depth teaching/tutoring physics and math at a Grade 9‑12 (or equivalent) level.
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Strong physics and math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
• Following Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Filling in post‑lesson notes.
• Completing daily student communication updates.
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Job Type: Part‑time

Salary: $19 – $21 / hour

Schedule: Monday to Thursday (3:30 pm – 8:00 pm);
Saturday availability (10:00 am – 2:00 pm)
