French Tutor

Position Summary

Part‑time French Tutor (French immersion mandatory) at Oxford Learning Guelph Woodlawn & Hanlon. All lessons are pre‑planned; no lesson preparation required before class. The role is in‑person and located at 221 Woodlawn Road, Unit C1, Guelph, Ontario.

• Teach up to three students at a time across different proficiency levels.
• Apply Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly, professional manner at all times.

• CEGEP, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
• OCT Teacher Certification is an asset.
• Fluency in written and spoken French and English.
• Ability to teach French immersion at the high‑school level (Grades 9–12).
• Experience teaching or tutoring students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 (or equivalent).
• Strong written and oral communication skills in both languages.
• Comfort with subject‑specific French coursework, oral assessments, and written compositions.
• Capacity to multitask and manage up to three students simultaneously.
• Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
• Must be a resident of or within a short commute to the Guelph area.
• Availability during evenings Mon‑Fri 4:00 pm–8:00 pm;
  Saturday availability preferred; must be available during summer.

Part‑time. Evenings Monday to Friday, 4:00 pm–8:00 pm;
Saturday availability may be required. Salary $19.00–$21.00 per hour.
