About This OpportunityIgnite is our group mentoring program for children in grades 5-6 or 7-8 that focuses on physical activity, balanced eating and self-esteem. The single, most important goal of the program is to positively shape the lives of youth by helping them build a positive self-image – setting them on a path to reach their full potential in life.
The programs consist of 7 mentoring sessions that are held within school facilities, during school hours. Each session is 1 hour long and is loosely structured around four themes: physical activity, balanced eating, self-esteem, and communication skills. Currently, they are run twice per year, once in the fall months, and then again in the winter.
