UGDSB is looking for a dynamic individual to serve as the Black Student Success Coordinator on a temporary basis. This full-time role supports Black-identifying students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, emphasizing culturally responsive practices and collaboration with school staff to create equitable outcomes. Your work will align with the UGDSB’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support during social and academic challenges
• Foster trusting connections with students and families
• Develop anti-racism training for educational staff
• Collaborate to reduce achievement and access barriers
• Engage in data-informed equity planning
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant fields
• Minimum 3 years in diverse youth education support
• Strong understanding of systemic racism
• Effective mentorship skills with Black students
• Access to a vehicle for travel
Use your skills to empower Black students and drive systemic change at UGDSB.
