In this ongoing volunteer opportunity, you will assist children or youth with their homework, reading, and studying. Your primary goal is to build positive relationships while maintaining a non-judgmental space for learning. Reliability, empathy, and strong listening skills are essential for this role, along with a commitment to regular visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with reading, writing, homework, and study skills

• Provide a supportive and non-judgmental listening ear

• Maintain consistent, scheduled visits for effective learning

• Foster positive relationships and act as a role model

• Participate in required orientation and training sessions

Requirements:

• Must be over the age of majority in Ontario

• Background check and vulnerable sector check required

• Comfortable commuting to the volunteer location

• Must own a cell phone for communication

• Commitment to an 8-month, weekly schedule
