As part of the Learning & Curriculum Support team at the University of Guelph, this role focuses on enhancing library access and fostering user engagement. You will assist faculty, students, and researchers by providing library services via various channels such as in-person, phone, and chat. Your expertise will help improve user experiences in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide instruction on library resources and policies
• Manage resource sharing and interlibrary loan requests
• Collaborate with team members and support training for students
• Troubleshoot access issues and technology problems
• Uphold confidentiality and privacy for library users
Requirements:
• Two-year Library & Information Technology Diploma
• 18 months relevant library experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency in library systems and digital technologies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Utilize your skills in library assistance and patron services to contribute meaningfully at the McLaughlin Library.
